4th intensive programme in inclusive education across the life span

1st –12th April, 2000

 venue:

University of Exeter, School of Education,

 The Intensive Course is supported by the ERASMUS/SOCRATES prgramme within the European Union. Participating students will obtain 3 ECTS credits for successful completion of the Course.

Students will be expected to provide a small group collaborative presentation which develops a critique of inclusion within an international framework.

Each participating university can send in 2 students to Exeter.

Presentations by tutors

Social day in and around Exeter.

RADAR Day (Royal Association of Disability and Rehabilitation) – a national conference on disability and inclusion (venue: St. Loyes College of Physiotherapists, Exeter).

(Exeter University) International stories of inclusion: presentations, workshops and dialogues with parents, people with disabilities, teachers, support workers, academics …………. Stories from UK, Belgium, Spain, Portugal, Germany, Australia,…….. Stories about policy and practice, about experience, about advocacy and self-advocacy, about identity and communities.

Tuesday evening: Carrot Soup Group Dinner.

Depart Exeter.

 

Language

The official language at the intensive programme is English

Registration

Students, who are interested to follow this intensive course should inform the departmental coordinator of his/her university. 2 students of each participating university can register for this course.

Students who will attend the course should send a letter to the coordinating university of Gent (address, see below).

The participation for this course is free, as well as lodging and course materials.

The students have to provide their own travel expences and expences for food
