		El INSTITUTO UNIVESITARIO DE URBANÍSTICA se encuentra inmerso en el proceso de evaluación periódica de institutos universitarios de investigación. (noviembre 2011)
El INSTITUTO UNIVERSITARIO DE URBANÍSTICA es un Centro de la Universidad de Valladolid cuyo objetivo fundamental es desarrollar la investigación en el campo disciplinar de la "Urbanística y Ordenación del Territorio", así como la Docencia Especializada y Programas de Doctorado, todo ello en el marco del Tercer Ciclo. También es competencia del Instituto la realización de trabajos de carácter científico, técnico y artístico, tal y como se establece en el Artículo 83 de la L.O.U. Investigación y Docencia entendidas, por otro lado, en el marco de una necesaria e inequívoca interdisciplinariedad. Campos como el Urbanismo, la Arquitectura, la Historia, la Geografía, el Derecho, la Economía, etc, forman parte del variado y diverso campo de experimentación e investigación que es necesario abordar desde la "Urbanística y Ordenación del Territorio".

The INSTITUTO UNIVERSITARIO DE URBANÍSTICA is a Center of the Universidad de Valladolid oriented to develop the Research in the field of "City-planning and Regional Planning", as well as Specialized Teaching and Programs of Doctorate, all it within the framework of the european Third Cycle. Also the accomplishment of works of scientific, technical and artistic character is competition of the Institute, so and as it settles down in Article 83 of the L.O.U. understanding Research and Teaching, on the other hand, within the framework of a necessary and unequivocal interdisciplinar. Fields like Urbanism, the Architecture, History, Geography, the Law, the Economy, etc, form part of the varied and diverse work of experimentation and research that is necessary in the "City-planning and Regional Planning" approach.
