PRESENTACIÓN
El grupo de investigación en Estructuras y Tecnología de la Madera de la Universidad de Valladolid es un equipo multidisciplinar en el que participan los Departamentos de Construcciones Arquitectónicas, Ingeniería del Terreno y Estructuras, con sede en la E.T.S. de Arquitectura de Valladolid, y el de Ingeniería Agrícola y Agroforestal, ubicado en la E.T.S. de Ingenierías Agrarias de Palencia.
Está
integrado por profesionales e investigadores con experiencia en los campos de
la construcción y restauración arquitectónica y la tecnología de la madera
respectivamente e incorpora titulados y, de forma rotatoria, alumnos de tercer
ciclo y de los últimos cursos de ambas titulaciones, en condición de
becarios de investigación.
Su trabajo se centra en el diagnóstico, la conservación y restauración de estructuras de madera existentes, sean de carácter monumental o no, orientándose a facilitar la toma de decisiones con criterios técnicos solventes sobre base científica.
The research group of Timber Structures and Wood Technology of the University of Valladolid (Spain) is a multidisciplinary team from the Departments of Structures Engineering and Construction, seated in the E.T.S. of Architecture in Valladolid, and the Forest and Farming Engineering, located at the E.T.S. of Agrarian Engineering in Palencia.
It is integrated by professionals and senior researchers with experience in the fields of the construction and architectonic restoration and wood technology respectively and incorporates junior researchers and, in an alternating fashion, students of the last courses of both degrees, by means of fellowship grants.
Its work is centred in the diagnosis, the conservation and restoration of old timber structures, whether being of monumental character or not, orienting itself to supply technical criteria on scientific base to the projectists.
