    Raquel Fernández Fuertes is a professor in the Department of English of the University of Valladolid (Spain). Her research interests and publications deal with the relationship between linguistic theory and language acquisition (first language, second language and bilingual). She is also the director of the UVALAL.

    Esther Álvarez de la Fuente is a professor in the Department of English of the University of Valladolid (Spain). She conducts research on bilingual acquisition and natural translation and, in particular, on the nature of translation in the case of both child and adult bilingual speakers.
